Sajjangarh Biological Park Udaipur

Sajjangarh Biological Park is located nearby Sajjangarh Wildlife Sanctuary at outskirts of Lake City, Udaipur. It is only 6 k.m. away from Ralway Station and Central Bus Stand. The Total area of the Biological park is 36 ha. A central ring road runs within the Park and covers almost total area of the park. On the north western side of the park, there is a tar road which takes one to a historical monument Sajjangarh (Monsoon Palace).



Sajjangarh Biological Park celebrates record visitors of last month:
Now Sajjangarh Biological Park has become a much sought after destination here. The park has received a record of more than 50,000 visitors in a month, generating a more then 10 lakh revenue for the forest department.



The main reason for the high footfall is believed to be due to the many animals that are now in the park. There are more than 60 animals of 21 species including tigers, panthers, lions, ostriches, alligators, rhesus monkeys etc which are enthralling the visitors with their natural charm. Meanwhile, T-24, the majestic big cat which was shifted here from Ranthambore sanctuary is getting acclimated to the new environment.




The park which is spread over 36 hectares has been constructed with the financial assistance of Japan international co-operation agency under Rajasthan Forestry and Bio-diversity Project.




Vehicles are completely prohibited here and visitors have the options to either rent a golf cart or a bicycle to go around the various enclosures.o months after its inauguration, state's Sajjangarh Biological Park has already become a much sought after destination here.
