Guru Nanak Jayanti celebrates the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. It is one of the most popular festivals in India. People across the country celebrate this day with great devotion. Sikh devotees prepare special dishes at home, pray at Gurudwaras and even decorate their houses to make it look all special. People also help in organizing langars at Gurudwaras and volunteer for social services as well. This day also sees Prabhat Pheri being organized in various parts of the country where people sing devotional songs. But since this year, we're all confined to our homes due to COVID-19, the celebrations are going to be restricted to limited spaces. No grand celebrations will take place this year in order to avoid large crowds and to maintain social distancing.
-Guru Nanak
God is one, but he has innumerable forms. He is the creator of all and he himself takes the human form. - Guru Nanak
As fragrance abides in the flower,
As reflection is within the mirror,
So, does your Lord, abide with you,
Why search for him without?
- Guru Nanak
Through shallow intellect, the mind becomes shallow, and one eats the fly, along with the sweets.
